Both grandmas loving on the belly.
I have finally finished editing the pictures from the first baby shower for my brother and sister-in-law.
The shower that was thrown on August 25th.
I had more than 400 shots to choose from.
And I’m a little bit of a procrastinator.
My mom, sister, and I co-hosted the party in the clubhouse in my apartment complex.
I had so much fun making the flowers out of crepe paper.
There were just a few gifts.
The cake got a little smashed.
It tasted yummy though.
I love that girl.
She fits in so perfectly with the family.
The mama-to-be gave up one of her ribbons to the papa-to-be.
The clothespins were for one of the games.
You know, the one where you can’t say the word baby.
Except Jenny (who was in charge of the games) made it harder by adding a crossed legs rule too.
Do you know how hard it is to not cross your legs?
It’s harder, at least for me, than not saying baby.
My silly mama clipped hers in her hair.
We also froze mini baby rattles inside ice cubes.
The goal was to get the rattle out without using your mouth or hands.
Kathy is using her tiny butt to melt hers.
I used my toes to move it up and down my legs.
I almost won.
Sarah melted hers a bit and then stomped it free.
I found this cool craft on Pinterest.
We took plain onesies and tie-dyed them using alcohol and Sharpies.
So cute and fun.
We got the onesies in multiple sizes so the future mister will have many unique tops to rock throughout his entire first year.
This shot totally captures Angie’s personality.
Fun, laughter, a little mischievous.
And this one captures my brother’s personality.
Laid back, strong, pensive.
We had three little guys in attendance.
They were all so cute.
I love two things here.
I love that he felt each blanket as she set it down (just like I would do).
Second, the look on his face here.
Like they have plenty of blankets now.
They’ll know the truth soon enough.
I’ll have you know, baby brother, that that NIKE onesie is in the Blazers colors.
My step-dad made this cradle for the baby.
The grandmas again, loving on the belly.
I promise I’m still working hard on editing the pictures from the second shower.
